I wasn’t sure about the amber shade until I inked it up—it flows beautifully and the notebook pages handle it without any bleed. The whole set feels like a proper keepsake for the year, and the freebies were a nice surprise on top.

The free Saddle Amber ink and matching Horse notebook are a nice bonus, but the pen itself is the real star—the amber resin has a warm, almost honeyed depth that shifts in the light. The nib wrote smoothly right out of the box, no fiddling or breaking-in needed.

The presentation is lovely with the horse theme, and I’m genuinely impressed that the free notebook and special saddle amber ink came included in the box. The ink has a nice, warm amber tone that writes smoothly, and the whole package feels like a thoughtful collector’s set.
